How do I join WORD?                                                                                             

You may join at any time either via the link on our home page or at a local council meeting.

How much are dues?

Regular membership is $20. For full-time students and retirees dues are $10.

If I am a member of my local council, am I also a member of WORD?                                                             

Yes, each local council is part of WORD.

How can I pay for conference fees?

You can pay be check by printing the registration form and mailing the check to our treasurer.  Credit cards and Purchase Orders are also accepted when you register with ZAPevent (link on our home page).

Can I attend WORD sponsored events if I am not a member?                                                                              Yes, we welcome anyone at our events.  Membership offers you more connection and reduced fees, but you are welcome to attend as a “non-member.”

How can I view PDF files?

Verify that your computer has Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. If not, you may download Adobe Acrobat Reader. The software is available for Windows and MacOS.

Is there a local council in my town?

WORD has many local councils. Please check the the Local Councils page for a complete list and a map. Given this, there is probably a local council in your area. If not, you can still be a member of WORD as an at-large member.

Where can I find out who is the President of my local council?

Each council’s officers are listed under Council Contacts on the individual council’s page. Confused? First, go to the Local Councils page. Then select the council you are looking for. On that page, look at the right side of the screen.

How can I submit material for this site?
