It takes a committed group of individuals to continually plan, organize and lead a literacy organization such as WORD. The organization could not be successful without the time and dedication of each of its local councils but also executive board members. Each June it is the annual transition for the new Executive Board; and with this transition comes “good-byes” and “welcome aboard” to newly appointed members.
